The Council produces a number of publications, available either free or at a small price from the Council. Some more recent publications are available on this site as pdf documents.
News Print Media report

The Council has now published the 2007 Supplement to the 2006 State of the News Print Media in Australia report. The 2006 report is still available online or can be purchased for $6 (GST inclusive) from the Council office.

- Annual Reports:
Annual Report No. 30 (2005-2006 ) has been published and is posted to this website as a pdf (588 kB). (Also posted is information on publications and circulations for Rural Press P/L that arrived too late for the hardcopy publication.) Back issues of most other Annual Reports are available in hardcopy from the Press Council office.
- APC News: The News has been published quarterly since February 1989 and copies of most are available in print form. The contents of the 1994 News, 1995 News, 1996 News, 1997 News, 1998 News, 1999 News, 2000 News, 2001 News, 2002 News, 2003 News, 2004 News, 2005 News, 2006 News and posted issues of the 2007 News are available on this site and more will be added later.

- The Twentieth Anniversary Papers:

- The reporting of suicide, particularly youth suicide. The transcript of an invitation only roundtable discussion involving mental health professionals, carer groups and the media.

- The Australian Press Council Fellow 1995: Professor John Soloski. The speeches given by the US defamation law reform expert during his trip to Australia in 1995.
