The Australian Press Council News

The News is a quarterly newsletter with articles, opinions and news relevant to the print media and the Press Council. Each edition also reprints all adjudications issued in the preceding quarter.

It was first published in February 1989, and has been published in February, May, August and November since then. Many back issues are available in print form from the Council.

The News is available free from the Council on request. The Council maintains a mailing list for those who want to receive a printed copy.

Alternatively, Press Council publications are now sent by email to those who ask for delivery in that form. If you want the News sent direct to you (in pdf format), please send an email to info@presscouncil.org.au with subject line News by email and you will be placed on the direct email list.

The Council welcomes unsolicited contributions (without any guarantee of publication) and letters to the editor.

The 2009 issues are posted as they are sent to subscribers. (Those who read the newsletter on the 'Net, and would, as a result, like to let their subscription to the printed version of the News to lapse can notify the Council by email and we will delete you from the mailing list.)

This site now carries issues of the APC News from 1994 to 2009.

Further back-issues of the News will be posted from time-to time. As this website is now searchable by keyword, finding articles on any subject should be easy.
